FAQ

Individual training ensures that each worker understands the content. Effective training is required by law, and proof of training is often required (e.g. SA8000, GOTS). To avoid corruption and to improve transparency, brands and organisations often seek proof of training.
Although the training is targeted at workers, office staff and management could also benefit from attending.
15 minutes per user, per week. After 15 minutes, users are logged out automatically.
One course lasts 8 weeks. If a worker has very good results, it can be quicker than this. The minimum duration is 6 weeks.
No, they should do it individually – this is one of the USPs of our approach. This helps to achieve the best training results and ensures that the results valid.
  • Factories should select participants to reflect the gender and age distribution of the factory.
  • The lower the starting level of knowledge in a given field, the more a user can learn from the training.
  • New workers who might not have undergone training before and illiterate/functionally illiterate users should be included.
Depending on the number of users trained in parallel, a training room might be necessary.
We have not included an exact time countdown so as not to encourage workers to rush the training. We want each person to understand the materials rather than rush through.
Training takes place during working hours. Factory management can develop a schedule to show when each individual worker is doing the training. We also provide a scheduling tool via Excel.
Yes, this is possible (however, to maximise learning it is best to do 1 session per week).
Our experience shows that the workers feel validated by virtue of being invited to partake in a training program. In certain countries or industries, it is sometimes recommended to give monetary incentives.
In order to minimize organisational efforts, training should be organised in batches between 150 and 500 workers. Software-wise there are no limitations on the amount of people who can be trained at one time – the limiting factors are the size of training room and the number of tablets available.
Yes, upon registration there is an option to choose the training languages.
Training for the employees is an investment for long-term economic success, so it will pay of if you prioritise training for each worker for 15 minutes per week. Training is also required by many international standards and clients, so in order to retain existing customers and winning new ones, you have to prove effective education and training, which are program can offer.
Yes, this is possible. However, it should be avoided as training is most effective when undertaken consistently within a defined period.
Training certificates for users who have completed their training can either be printed out by the factory or by a local representative of the brand. They can be downloaded directly from our platform with the names of users inserted automatically from the KPI-Dashboard.

Software

Yes, our training is based on a Learning Management System so it is adaptable, as long as the metrics of gamification, algorithm and KPIs are not changed. However, this needs to be specified before you place an order with us, so that we can include this in the licence fees.
In general yes, however we recommend assigning a person to help the user in case they are not familiar with using a tablet or are illiterate.
  • Our programs work on PCs (however, it is more fun on a tablet!)
  • Our programs do not work on a mobile phone as the screen is too small for an effective learning process. We are looking into adapts the training so that we can also deliver a mobile version.

Hardware

If 140 users need to be trained in a 6 working day week with 8 hour shifts per day, then 1 tablet is sufficient. However, we recommend having additional tablets if you will have more than 140 users, depending on how many users you wish to train in parallel.
  • Mobile hotspots or routers (dependent on country circumstances) might increase internet speed
  • SIM cards for the tablets from a local operator can serve as backup in case of slow internet connection via WIFI (the App consumes around 25 MB data per 15 minutes session in an average). Please note that if that is the case, connection on the tablet has to be changed from WIFI to MOBILE manually.
  •
Please make sure that the tablet is not too old, as a certain browser standard is a pre-requisite for a smooth operation of the App. Please use the browser Chrome (V37.0 and above).
Either the brand provides the tablets and we (your Sustify local Program Manager) bring them to the factory, or the tablets can be bought by the factory itself.
It depends on who bought the tablets. Either the brand or the factory can keep the tablets for further use.
